Buma ROCKS! Radio presents Heavy Alternative revisited on May 26th
On Thursday May 26th online rockstation Buma ROCKS! Radio will host a a special edition of Heavy Alternative, the legendary Dutch radio show that was broadcast weekly on Kink FM between 2000 and 2006. In this unique two-hour live show (from 20.00 – 22.00 hrs) the original dj’s Frank Helmink (director of Buma Cultuur nowadays) and Peter van der Laan will preview the events of Buma ROCKS! and FortaRock on June 4 and 5 in Nijmegen. One of the special guests featured on the program is Hibakusha, the metal band from Haarlem that will be performing on the Buma ROCKS! stage at FortaRock on June 4. The 24/7 Buma ROCKS! Radio channel offers a varied selection of Dutch metal and hardrock, mixed with new international tracks and classics from the genre’s biggest names. Buma ROCKS! Export Award @ FortaRock
The Buma ROCKS! Export Award will be handed out for the third time to a Dutch heavy music act that is successful outside of the Netherlands. After Epica (2015) and Adrian Vandenberg (2014), the winner for 2016 will be announced on June 4, inbetween the conference and the Trade BBQ held at the FortaRock grounds. Those who hold tickets to Buma ROCKS! have access to both the award ceremony and the BBQ.

The event is open to the general audience and aims to connect ambitious and upcoming acts in hard rock, metal and related genres to professionals from the rock business both from the Netherlands and internationally. Doornroosje in Nijmegen will again be the venue of choice for the conference. Furthermore Buma ROCKS! presents four bands on the Buma ROCKS! stage at FortaRock in the Nijmegen Goffertpark.
