BMIM holds largest media music conference during ADE

Buma Music in Motion, together with Amsterdam Dance Event, will hold the largest conference in the Netherlands in the field of music in film, games, advertising, television and other media on Wednesday, October 18. Just like last year, various topics will be discussed in panels and you can enjoy an exclusive performance by composer Kensuke Ushio and WADA Devicegirls.

The BMIM x ADE 2023 program

A panel about the growing gaming industry and what opportunities it offers for composers.

Of course Artificial Intelligence (AI) cannot be missed at a conference on media music.
Behind the Track (live podcast)
In this live podcast, media composers discuss with each other.

This is just a small selection from the program. The program also consists of an invited breakfast, various talks from inspiring guests from the scene, and of course the well-known Matchmakingsessions of Buma Music in Motion in which the organization links aspiring composers with experts from the field. These professionals work at 180 Amsterdam, Natwerk, DEPT, HALAL, Mr. Frank, Roorda, Fitzroy, The Gardeners, Wolfstreet but also film professionals such as director Bobby Boermans and Millstreet Films.

Cristobal Tapia de Veer

This guest speaker deserves a separate mention. Because none other than Cristobal Tapia de Veer will be the keynote speaker during BMIM x ADE 2023. He is known for, among other things, his soundtrack for The White Lotus, the hit series on HBO. During his keynote, he takes us through the creation of this soundtrack thanks to his database full of jungle sounds.
