Jazz-In 2026 connects the new generation of Dutch jazz talents
On Monday, September 21, 2026, the very first edition of Jazz-In will take place at Muziekhuis Utrecht. Musicians and emerging composers from the Dutch jazz scene come together for professional development and inspiring encounters. It promises to be a day full of practical sessions and conversations with experts. The event is specifically for artists who performed in 2025 or will perform in 2026 during Orange Jazz Days.
Connecting the Dutch jazz scene
Meeting is an important part of Jazz-In. By bringing together musicians, professionals from the music industry, and organizations, the organization aims to strengthen the connections within the Dutch jazz sector and create space for new collaborations. Participants are given the opportunity to make new contacts within the Dutch jazz sector, including through speed meetings.
Working on a sustainable music career
A professional music career is about more than just making music. That’s why the business and professional side of the profession is also central during Jazz-In. With sessions on music and copyright, working with labels and booking agents, finding performance venues, and ensuring fair compensation for your work, participants prepare for a sustainable music career. The afternoon starts with the keynote ‘It takes a village 2026’ by researcher Dr. Loes Rusch. Afterward, a program with in-depth sessions will follow.

Orange Jazz Days
Jazz-In follows the Orange Jazz Days, which will return to TivoliVredenburg on October 2 and 3, 2026. During the festival, Dutch jazz takes center stage, and Dutch artists get the opportunity to present themselves to the audience and international music professionals. With Jazz-In, the participating artists prepare for the next step in their careers. Not only on stage, but also behind the scenes.
Jazz-In is an initiative by TivoliVredenburg, Sena, and injazz from Buma Cultuur.
