Winners of Buma NL Awards 2025 announced

Today, the winners of the Buma NL Awards 2025 were announced on the Jordaanboot in Amsterdam. The Top 10 was shared in random order. On Monday 29 September in Poppodium 013 in Tilburg, the lyricists, composers, and artists of the popular repertoire will hear in which position they ended up in the Top 10. This will happen during the annual music conference Buma NL, concluding with the Buma NL Awards ceremony.

Top 10 Buma NL Awards 2025 in random order

The winners of the Buma NL Awards are based annually on data from GfK, Soundaware and the Stichting Nederlandse Top 40. This is done based on a quantitative analysis of sales figures (tracks and albums) and airplay figures (tracks) over the period from 1 May 2024 to 30 April 2025. This year they are:

Van Brabant naar Bordeaux – Kafke/ Frans Bauer,
Echte liefde is te koop – Samuel Welten,
Zij is van mij – André Hazes / Mart Hoogkamer,
Spijt is voor later – Martin Morero,
Alleen met jou – Yves Berendse / Emma Heesters,
(Die man is) verliefd – Jan Smit / 3JS,
Vannacht slaap jij bij mij – Afro Bros / John West / Billy Dans / Monq,
Blikkendag – Sven Versteeg and Likke Pêhp,
Voor je ’t weet – Tino Martin / Anouk and
100% – Flemming / Mart Hoogkamer.

In addition, prizes will be presented for Best Producer and Dutch Master (oeuvre prize), and the Industry Award (industry prize). In collaboration with Xenox, the Most Successful Pub Hit will also announced.

The importance of the Dutch repertoire

The Dutch repertoire is put in the spotlight by Buma NL every year with a conference and awards show. The Buma NL conference – in a new guise since 2023 – has a full program with interactive panels, discussions and masterclasses, presented by Merel Westrik. Kees Tol is the presenter of the festive awards show in the evening.

“The folk repertoire is experiencing its heyday. I said that last year in the run-up to Buma NL. But I am actually doing the genre an injustice, because it has been years now and, we have also recently seen at the Buma Awards that the Dutch-language repertoire is simply dominant. More than half of the Top 20 National was occupied by ‘pop in your mother tongue’.”
