Buma Cultuur is dedicated to music from The Netherlands

Buma Cultuur supports and promotes Dutch music copyright in both The Netherlands and key export markets for Dutch music. The aim is to increase the percentage of Dutch music in the Dutch market and to raise revenue flow by stimulating the use of Dutch music copyright on foreign markets. Buma Cultuur is founded by the Dutch collecting society Buma.
Buma/Stemra is the collection society for music authors in The Netherlands and represents the interests of its members worldwide. Besides collection and payment of remunerations to music authors, Buma/Stemra stimulates and supports the development of new talent.

On the night of Saturday the 14th to Sunday the 15th of January 2012, the 26th edition of Eurosonic Noorderslag came to an end. During four days, 293 promising European acts and bands presented themselves to an audience of 33,000 music lovers and professionals in Groningen. Europe's leading conference and showcase festival could be followed through the media in much of Europe this year.
