Announcement online inJazz conference programme and festival line-up
inJazz, initiative of Buma, transforms the city of Rotterdam into the European capital of jazz and beyond. This year, of course, things are different than what we’re used to. Holland’s celebrated showcase, conference and network event will be hosted online on Thursday 25 and Friday 26 June. A thrilling virtual version of inJazz! Today, the organisation proudly presents the conference programme, the festival line-up and timetables.
Sign up for the online conference programme
A catalyst for new developments. The conference brings together the supply and demand sides of the (Dutch) jazz scene. Attendees seek advice, tips and pointers from the world’s most knowledgeable professionals in the business. Online panels, matchmaking sessions and presentations will give them the opportunity to form international relations and to pursue a successful career. The conference is free, but it’s mandatory to sign up for the sessions. inJazz works with the first come, first serve principle.
Highlights of the conference programme
Lots of pretty current topics will be discussed during the day on 25 and 26 June. Such as: how are the jazz people of New York dealing with this interesting time? Mike Bindraban (Good Music Company) speaks with the founder of Winter Jazzfest and the programmer for Jazz at Lincoln Center. How to strengthen ties across the Channel post-Brexit? A panel talk, co-hosted by Jazz Promotion Network. And what about the crisis in club land? A talk by most sought-after Dutch programmers Frank van Berkel and Frank Bolder. As usual, the conference ends with a bang: the announcement of the Buma Boy Edgar Prize winner. The complete conference programme can be found on www.injazz.nl/conference.
