Every year ESNS (Eurosonic Noorderslag) highlights the very best emerging acts from a different country, showcasing the diversity of musical talent across Europe. In close cooperation with Pohoda Festival CEO Michal Kašcák and Márton Náray, Director of Sound Czech / Czech Music Office, ESNS is proud to announce its first ever dual-country focus on the Czech Republic and Slovakia in 2019.

After several years it has become tradition for Buma ROCKS!, the international platform for loud music, to announce a number of activities during metal festival FortaRock. On June 1st and 2nd the Goffertpark in the city of Nijmegen will welcome a broad selection of international top acts. On Saturday June 2nd Buma ROCKS! will present a number of Dutch bands, starting with Death Alley and DOOL.

Last night ESNS ended in the city of Groningen, The Netherlands. Taking place from January 17-19, 2018 the European Music Platform stayed true to its ethos of stimulating the circulation of European music by showcasing 352 European acts, among which 22 acts from this year’s focus country Denmark.

The winners of the 2018 European Border Breakers Awards (the ‘EBBA’), the European music awards for emerging artists, were honoured this evening at the Eurosonic Noorderslag festival in the Dutch city of Groningen. Kristian Kostov came out as the big winner of the evening, taking away the ‘Public Choice Award’ after an overwhelming number of online voters chose him.
